Republishing this from my August 2020 LinkedIn article.

10. Nodding and smiling while your friends complain about non-stop video meetings

9. Having to make even more outlandish excuses about why you’re not exercising

8. No work distractions to prevent you from obsessively reading Facebook group posts about your district’s return-to-school plan.

7. No co-worker social pressure to shave your way-too-shaggy quarantine beard

6. Now that you turned in your corporate laptop, scheduling job search time on the family laptop between your kids’ Roblox and Minecraft sessions

5. Former coworkers texting you three months post-departure saying “I didn’t realize you were gone”

4. Sourdough bread making isn’t an option under LinkedIn skills

3. Plenty of time to act as IT desktop support for your parents as they figure out how to Zoom

2. Looking on Glassdoor for salary info for COVID vaccine trial volunteers

and the #1 worst thing about being unemployed during the pandemic….

1. …Not having a job — reach out if you have any Boston-based B2C product management roles [Update! I found a job. Probably wasn’t from this article, but you never know ;)]
